Nikon D7100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-105mm VR Lens Kit (24.1MP) 3.2 inch LCD Reviews Products :
Great mid-size DSLR with good skin tones and backwards compatibility with older Nikon lenses.
I’ve more experience of Canon, but this has won me over. Of my six cameras, this gets the most use. I love having two SD card slots – I did a wedding and the security of knowing there was a backup was a relief. Good battery life, and some ok 3rd party batteries exist for good prices (they don’t last as long as the original Nikon, but at a fraction of the cost popping a couple in your camera bag is a wise choice). It is a good size and weight, it feels comfortable, but not too heavy.
This Nikon is a good choice if you want to use older Nikon lenses from the 80s. Some of the 50mm primes on ebay for approx £50 work beautifully with this camera. They are a) a bargain and b) very nicely built with fantastic bokeh. If you use a lens for a full frame, it will appear 1.5x longer, which makes this camera a good choice for wildlife photographers trying to squeeze everything they can from a long lens. But it is perfectly versatile enough for macro, portrait, and landscapes too. I…
Upgraded from D3100 to D7100. Is it worth? YES
First of all, let me be clear that I have not purchased this camera from amazon. I have used another website.
I have been using D3100 for a couple of years made abut 10,000 shots and was feelign that my demands were higher that what the camera was offering. I was thinking about getting D610 or D7100. I have settled for D7100 mainly because, I had 35mm DX lens for D7100 and D610 would require great investment in lenses in order to fully exploit the sensor’s capability. Also it is heavier. D7100 functionality is praised in every review, so I thought I will give it a shot.
I will get straight to business. What upgrades I really liked compared to D3100:
-More buttons. It means more confusion for the first few uses but if you are at least little bit intuitive you should be fine after a few days of usage. They will allow you to reach the desired setting much much quicker than you ever could with D3100. E.g. you need to press one button to change focus mode…
Nikon D7100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-105mm VR Lens Kit
The first camera I used to properly take pictures was a MILC (Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera). It had served me good but I was getting to the point where I was not satisfied with the low light performance and the lack of lens options.
In this review I am not going to talk much about the pros and cons of the camera specification-wise because this can be done by looking at comparison sites. Instead I will focus on my use case and my experience with the product and what I found to be good or bad.
This is where the Nikon D7100 comes in. This was the first proper DSLR camera with a mirror and a viewfinder. At first I was very confused because I was not very used to the button layout, the menu loocked different and there were many extra features compared to my MILC.
-The first thing I noticed was the performance in low light conditions. With the right settings I was able to reproduce very clean…
